HELLO I’M ANGELICA,

I take a client-focused approach to therapy, meeting individuals where they are in each moment they show up for a session—recognizing that this may look different from one session to the next. My work is grounded in a strengths-based perspective, honoring each individual’s resilience and capacity for growth. I work with individuals who feel disconnected from others, have constant worrying, and challenges with navigating relationships in their lives.

I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust, safety, and respect. I believe therapy works best when we work together and collaborate on goals as well as coping mechanisms. It’s important to me that you are honest when coping strategies I share may not be working for you, because that allows us to really work together in a collaborative manner. I have experience working with adults and families, and I currently support teens in a middle school setting. I understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model, and that each individual may benefit from a different approach, treatment modality, or set of coping strategies.

I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and have personal experience working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community as well as teens and young adults. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors, getting movement, as well as trying new coffee shops. I look forward to the opportunity to connect and hopefully work together on your therapeutic journey.
