HELLO I’M MONIQUE,

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and trauma. I also work with couples and families seeking support with communication, conflict resolution, and strengthening connection. In my work with couples, I welcome those in non-traditional relationship structures and support partners who find themselves feeling emotionally triggered within their relationships due to past experiences or unresolved trauma. Together, we work to foster greater understanding, compassion, and effective ways of supporting one another.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I believe therapy should move at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you, creating a space where you can feel supported while working toward meaningful change.

My theoretical orientation is grounded in a humanistic, client-centered approach and incorporates trauma-informed care and EMDR therapy. In our work together, I will take time to understand your history, strengths, support systems, and the concerns that bring you to therapy. We will then work collaboratively to identify goals and determine how we will measure progress in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy creative hobbies such as gardening, aquascaping, and small craft projects. These interests reflect my appreciation for growth, patience, and the unique ways people cultivate balance and well-being in their lives.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also be a rewarding step toward greater self-understanding and healing. This is your journey, and I would be honored to support you along the way.
