HELLO I’M SONJA,
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 16 years experience providing therapy. I have a passion for supporting people to work through life’s various challenges. I enjoy working with young adults to adults in all stages of life. I believe the client and therapist relationship is key to creating a sense of safety, comfort and trust for my clients to open up, discover their true thoughts and feelings, begin to heal, and feel empowered to handle life’s ups and downs. I work with clients to help them feel less alone and less helpless in their circumstances. It is important for me to build a genuine connection with my clients by listening to them, understanding them and gaining insight into their life experience, which allows me to more effectively support and help them through eclectic therapeutic approaches specific to meet each where they are. I want each client to feel heard, accepted and supported during our time together. Ideally treatment will help clients feel they have effectively addressed past and present issues and that they are equipped and capable to conquer any future obstacles as their life moves forward in a more healthy and fulfilling direction.
